which is delivered full time in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. Completion of this program creates a better opportunity for Ukrainian citizens who are looking for employment in Canada and other countries as caregivers or personal support workers.

• Program dates: September 06, 2010 – March 19, 2011.
• Registration deadline:  September 4, 2010.

Successful graduates of the program are issued an International Live-in Caregiver Program Certificate, which they can submit as part of their work visa application to embassies, once they have a contract with an employer. CBL International will be happy to assist graduates and employers in finding job opportunities and candidates, processing necessary papers and going through the process of foreign employment.

About the program

This program in Ivano-Frankivsk was initiated in order to respond to the Canadian Government Live-In Caregiver Program. Ukrainian Canadian Congress, International Learning Center and SBEDIF Business Center in Ivano-Frankivsk contributed to the development of the project at the initial stages. The principle information about Canadian requirements to foreign citizens to be employed as caregivers and personal support workers can be obtained from the website of the Citizenship and Immigration Canada . It is according to these guidelines our program was designed with two key components:

• a six-month full time course of technical training in a classroom and facility settings (800 hours), and;
• an additional EFL or FLE course for those participants who need improvement of their English or French skills (300 hours).
